The final performance of “Chess - The musical” at Copenhagen’s Det Ny Teater took place this afternoon. Preparations are already underway for the next production.
My Fair Lady”, which will open on February 6, 2026, was previously staged in Copenhagen in a magnificent production at the Royal Danish Theatre (Gamle Scene) from February 18 to April 9, 2011.

While the creative team at Det Ny Teater will be different, the upcoming production promises to be spectacular. More than 50 participants, including actors, singers, dancers, and musicians, will be involved.

Originally premiering at Broadway’s Mark Hellinger Theatre on March 15, 1956, and closing on September 29, 1963, after 2,717 performances, “My Fair Lady” won four Tony Awards and launched Julie Andrews’ career.

Inspired by George Bernard Shaw's 1914 play Pygmalion, the American musical features lyrics and a book by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. The original choreography was by Hanya Holm.
